Punctuality, dedication, planning action: Behaviour in different work situations

Aim: The aim of this exercise is to learn about punctuality, how to be prepared to be able to plan actions.

Description: Being on time matters a lot. However, a large number of people have a problem with being punctual. This behaviour is important because if you are late, some people can understand that you have many self-control problems or that you are incompetent, some people could feel that you don’t value their time (or them).
On the other hand, if you are punctual, you can demonstrate your interest, that you are able to identify priorities, and you are able to plan actions. If you are a dedicated professional you’ll demonstrate to employers that you have a sense of professionalism and commitment.
Being punctual is highly connected with ability to be able to plan actions. If you want to be punctual you need to be able to plan actions.
This exercise will help you to be more punctual, able to plan actions and to recognize the importance of them.
Your punctuality is one of the important components of successful employment and also to your further career.
In conclusion when we are working we have a lot of responsibilities, deadlines, meetings and so on. If we are punctual workers we will try to do our work as good as we can. In order to be a punctual worker it is necessary to be able to plan actions.

Learning outcomes: Completing this exercise will enable you to:

  • Understand the importance of being punctual in work related situations;
  • Understand the importance to plan realistic and cautious actions.
