Aim: The aim of this exercise is to develop your ability to accept feedback and constructive criticism, which could help you behave correctly in different work situations and become more self-aware.
Description: It is very important to be able to accept feedback and constructive criticism correctly. This skill is helpful in many work situations – interacting with your colleague, working with clients, getting feedback/evaluation from your manager or employer. The ability to accept feedback and constructive criticism will enable you to be more self-aware. This will give you opportunity to understand other people, how they perceive you; to judge your own performance and behaviour better as well as to deal with your weaknesses;
It is important to understand that other people could have a different point of view on the same topic. You should be ready to receive feedback. When we accept feedback, we get to know the opinion of others about us. Considering the opinion of others, we can change our behaviour. This will help you to get along better with colleagues and do your job better.
Learning Outcomes: Completing this exercise will enable you:
- To be able to receive criticism;
- To be able to be more self-aware.
Expected duration: 15 minutes.
