Aim: To understand the importance of digital skills used in the employment process.
Description: Using digital services help you to find a job. In the frames of the employment process, being digitally educated means that a person has:
- An access to information 24 hours per day;
- A fast tool for communication with a potential employers;
- A freedom to the process of job seeking itself in a comfort environment;
- A potential to use digital tools interactively and autonomously in a workplace implementing his/her tasks.
ICT tools, digital products and internet allow you to search for, look at and apply for vacancies and post your CV crossing geographical and time limits, saving financial resources, showing to employer that a candidate is digitally literate.
This exercise will help you to deepen your knowledge about internet and social media tools (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) in correlation with a job search process.
Learning outcomes: Completing this exercise will enable you to:
- Deepen your knowledge in using internet-based services for a job search;
- Encourage you to be active in Social Media.
