Tips for writing a good Europass CV in order to present yourself in the EU labour market

Aim: To introduce Europass CV proper writing methods and deepen your knowledge about the soft skills needed to present yourself in the EU labour market.

Description: Curriculum Vitae (CV) and motivation letter is your first introduction to the potential employer. Ability to present written information in your Europass CV will increase your chances of getting a job in the EU labour market. It is important to be able to identify clearly your skills, interests and core strengths and to be able to present them in written form when preparing your Europass CV. As you may know, at EU level you can use a specific format for preparation of your CV which is the Europass CV. This document is recognized at a European level and it is very useful if you are looking for a job in other EU country or if a potential employer is one of EU organisations operating in your country. Europass CV is a standard CV format which can be used by people to detail their qualifications and skills in a straightforward and understandable manner in 26 EU countries. In this exercise you will learn how to effectively present yourself to potential employers in the EU labour market and demonstrate your skills and competences in written form.
The presented video provides detailed instructions how to use the Europass CV website to create your own Europass CV as well explains clearly what you need to fill in every section of the CV. Remember that information you choose to include in your CV may vary depending on the country where you are applying for a job as well as the employer’s requirements. The European Skills Passport, its specifics and importance is also presented in this video.
