Aim: The main aims of this exercise are to deepen your knowledge about how your trainability skills could help you to be involved in life-long learning and to develop this skill by analysing different types of behaviour.
Description: The Labour market is changing rapidly thus it is very important to continue the life-long learning process in order to adapt to these changes, by updating your skills or gaining new skills. This will allow you to be competitive in the labour market. It is important to view yourself as a lifelong learner in order to never allow yourself to become complacent and sedentary. The best way to keep up with the pace of an ever changing market is to be a trainable person, that means to pursue and continue your life-long learning in the proper way.
In order to maintain your position or develop in the labour market you must be aware of the importance of undertaking training opportunities. In order to be successful in your job search and/or in the workplace you must be ready to learn. It is very important to be open minded and to accept new information and changes.
In this exercise you will deepen your understanding on what it means to be a trainable person and you will learn how to behave in order to demonstrate to the employer that you are trainable employee.
After completing the exercise it is recommended to meet a facilitator and plan further learning steps.
Learning outcomes: Completing this exercise will enable you to:
- Deepen your knowledge concerning your personal disposition to be trained;
- Understand that training is the basis of new professional opportunities;
- Deepen your understanding that new job opportunities usually mean you will need to be trained in new professional field.
